The region
Its situation in the south of Osona let you enjoy from a wonderful landscape with the Natural Park of Montseny as its main emblem, which protects the Plain of Vic, characterized by the cereal cultivated land.
Water has enriched this land, full of water sources and spas, populated since prehistoric times and famous for the health-giving properties of its climate. The natural landscape, proximity to towns and the possibility of health treatments turned some of the villages of the Montseny into privileged summer retreats for the Catalan bourgeoisie drom the end of the 19th century.
A very active and varied past has left its mark on the massif.The Montseny preserves some Iberian remains. You can also find some places which were used as a hideout for some of frightening bandits. As well, it's not unusual the presence of several castles and Romanesque churches.
